On average, Americans spend over 40 hours a week at work. And each year, there are millions of injuries and illnesses in American workplaces, ranging from minor cuts and colds to fatal industrial accidents and heart attacks.

Given the amount of time they spend on the job and the variety of hazards they are exposed to during a normal workday, employees need to know the techniques of emergency response and treatment, both for their own health and safety as well as that of their colleagues.

While this course is not officially sanctioned training that leads to certification in first aid or CPR, it does provide comprehensive instruction to workers in how to respond to a sudden illness or injury in the workplace until professional help arrives.

The goal of this course is to enable employees to respond confidently and efficiently, according to the most up-to-date emergency response standards, to mitigate injuries and save lives when workplace emergencies occur.
